2. Prepare the Roof Surface 🏠

For the seams, use seam tape and a heat gun or welder to create a watertight seal. Apply primer to the seams, then lay the seam tape along the seam line. Use the heat gun or welder to activate the adhesive on the tape and press it down firmly with a seam roller.

Step 6: Install Flashings and Termination Bars

Roofing systems require flashings and termination bars to seal the edges and prevent water infiltration. Install flashings around roof penetrations, such as vents, pipes, and skylights. Cut the flashing material to fit snugly around the penetration and secure it with adhesive and fasteners.

Termination bars are used to secure the membrane at vertical surfaces, such as walls and parapets. Install the termination bars along the top edge of the membrane and fasten them with screws. Apply a bead of sealant along the top of the termination bar to create a watertight seal.
